As a Lead PHP Developer, you'll be hands-on in our projects and act as the technical lead to help elevate the development team in terms of quality, collaboration, and craftsmanship. You are both an experienced developer and a team coach—a builder in the broadest sense of the word.

What You'll Be Doing

You write code—and you do it well
You'll be fully involved as a lead developer. You work in PHP (using MVC frameworks like Laravel and Symfony), review code, and hold high standards for quality, testability, and architecture. You take on complex components, contribute to technical decision-making, and guide the way we build. Not a coach on the sidelines, but a hands-on role model in practice.

You help the team grow
You coach fellow developers in best practices, debugging, testing, version control, and design patterns. Whether through pair programming, leading workshops, or sharing knowledge in your own style—you help others grow in ownership and critical thinking. You also contribute to learning paths and team development.

You provide technical direction
You collaborate with product owners and project managers to define smart, feasible solutions. You help decide when to upgrade, refactor, or abstract. You continually balance short-term impact with long-term maintainability—considering scalability, security, performance, and testability.

You improve how we work together
You introduce better development processes such as branching strategies, test coverage, or CI/CD. You help foster a healthy feedback culture and increase standardization across tooling, code style, API documentation, and libraries. You ensure we don't just build things well—but efficiently and cohesively.

Requirements:

• You have 5+ years of experience in PHP development, preferably with Laravel, Symfony, or your own modern stack.
• You've held a lead role before and know how to support and grow a development team.
• You have experience with testing (e.g. PHPUnit), DevOps, CI/CD, and understand the fundamentals of software architecture.
• You're technically strong, communicate clearly, and know how to give constructive feedback.
• You enjoy collaborating with other hubs and disciplines, and you get energy from building both people and products.
